Adventure Challenge – Day 41 & 42: Reunion and Memory Lane

I love my friends. My entire life has been filled with amazing people that become like family. With life changes, it can be difficult to stay in touch. Before you know it years have went flying by. I had an amazing group of friends in my mid-twenties. It was some of my best years so far. It was filled with so much fun, dancing, laughter, and love. Ive talked to most of them over the years, but to be honest it’s at a wedding or through a quick Facebook message. We have all moved, and changed with the ebb and flow of life. You know they are good friends when you can see each other after years have gone by and its as if no time has passed.

I decided I needed to get this group of friends together. I put together a little reunion. It wasn’t near long enough, but we had a great time. Lots of laughter and catching up. Despite marriages, divorces, kids, and time we are all the same foolish kids at heart. It made my heart so happy to see everyone and get them all together.

The next day we all went our seperate ways. We agreed to not wait so long to get together. I decided I had a few hours to kill so I would go check out some of the places I use to enjoy so much. I visited some of my old stomping grounds and found memories flooding back making me smile. I felt loved and fortunate to have such amazing memories.

About strokeofred

I am from Kansas and I have traveled all over the world. I am an artist, and I have a business brain. I love skirts and tennis shoes. I like to get dirty and ride motorcycles. I am sensitive and I can be mean. I love nature, and believe in protecting it. I love to laugh, and feel better after a good cry. I can be stubborn and impatient. I am constantly growing. I am open and free. I look to be inspired and love to inspire. I play guitar and secretly want to play drums. I have a puppy that brings me great joy. I love hugs, cuddling, holding hands...and wrestling. I love the mountains and the beach. I have to make a pilgrimage to the ocean at least twice a year to balance myself. I believe in balance in all things. Traveling is a passion, and meeting interesting people from all over the world is the perk! I have small town values, and big city dreams. I love beer, hate wine. I believe that what you put out comes back. I believe and live by the belief of treating others like you want to be treated. I enjoy stimulating conversation, and a good sense of humor. Caffeine is my drug of choice, and coffee over chess or good conversation is my luxury. I am strong but sometimes feel small. I strive to be my authentic me.
